Introducing our  newest product  – Ideal Electric Vehicle Battery Lift

With the electric car market rapidly growing and the UK pushing to significantly reduce vehicle emissions by 2030, it’s important that workshops and garages begin preparing for increased demand for electric vehicle servicing.

Working on electric vehicles presents several challenges, not least because of the positioning of the battery that stores driving energy is usually located on the underside of the car between the wheelbases. This can mean that technicians must work underneath the vehicle, causing safety and efficiency concerns.

Investing in garage equipment which caters to the electric vehicle market is an investment that not only enables you to cater to a niche market now, but also prepares your business and team for increased customer requests for electric vehicle servicing.

With that in mind, Autoquip are pleased to announce that we now stock the ‘Ideal’ Battery Lift, an electro-hydraulic lift which provides the capacity to remove Li-ion battery packs, engines, and transmissions.

Designed and manufactured in Italy, the lift is specifically developed for working on electric vehicle batteries and engines and is a perfect addition for any busy workshop or bodyshop. The lift is available as a 1.0t or 1.4t and includes numerous features that minimise the potential risk of injury whilst improving the efficiency working on electric vehicles.

Its adjustable and reinforced lifting platform has cut outs in the deck making it easier for technicians to access vehicle components and mounting points, and the lift also incorporates a dual hydraulic ram with remote control operation. Additionally, the omni-directional braked wheels allow for safe and smooth movement around the workshop and accurate positioning.

Autoquip are currently able to supply the EG-EVL 1.4T at £3495 plus VAT and delivery, and the EG-EVL 1.0T at £3295 plus VAT and delivery. If you have any questions or are interested in seeing the electric battery lift in action, get in touch with our team.  Find out more information here
